For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten
Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John
3:16
If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare
His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him
freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is
the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who
died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also
intercedes for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation,
or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Romans 8:31-35
Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his
life for his friends. John 15:13
Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.
1 Corinthians 13:3-7
Love is circumspect, humble, and upright. It is neither soft
nor light, nor intent upon vain things. It is sober and chaste, firm and quiet,
guarded in all the senses.
Love is watchful. Sleeping, it does not slumber. Wearied, it
is not tired. Pressed, it is not straitened. Alarmed, it is not confused, but
like a living flame, a burning torch, it forces its way upward and passes
unharmed through every obstacle.
Love never dies. Love is swift, sincere, kind, pleasant, and
delightful. Love is strong, patient and faithful, prudent, long-suffering, and
manly. Love is never self-seeking, for in whatever a person seeks himself there
he falls from love.
God is infinitely greater in His love, we find Gods richenss
of His love towards us in Christ Jesus.
