Overcoming old Sin Nature

As per the Bible according to the Old Testament every one of us are under the law, the Law is given to us through Moses by God for our well being to teach us how we supposed to live, we are not made for law but we are made for LOVE, since we last Love of God within us, we needed an external Law to guide us and to live to our maximum potential, Law could not make us beings of LOVE what we were to be, Law neither could stop our decay due to death we received due to disobedience.

The main purpose of law is to teach LOVE, old testament law is like a pointer which guides us to who we are once we were beings of LOVE.

when we disobey law of God we receive penalty of SIN which is death which is working in all of us as a natural law from when Adam and Eve disobeyed.

Death in every human being is working as a law(as a natural law) with in us,  how we can be delivered from this law of SIN and Death.

According to Romans 7:4

Therefore, my fellow believers, you too died to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God.

by the death of the Lord Jesus Christ we too died to the Law of sin and death according to the above verse.

Romans 7:21-23 says as below

I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

we delight in our conscience in the Law of God but  law in our members which is old sin nature war against the law of our mind and bringing us into captivity to the law of sin which is in our members.

There are few laws working within us

Old sin nature works as a law with in us, this is always  present in us, never leave us until we leave to heaven,  main function of old sin nature is to entice us to sin by warring with law of mind.

our mind too have a law with in it, what ever we feed to our mind it will process it and brings out a decision, in the previous case when sin nature war against law of mind it makes mind to yield unto sin.

our mind does not have any strength with in it, whatever we feed it it will results out like a computer.

Old nature takes advantage of the law of mind, by enticing mind it will make mind to yield unto sin which is in our members.

until Lord Jesus came and died for us there was no deliverance from law of sin and death, but still we are under the power of sin nature which is working in us what is the way out of it who shall delver us.

that is why Apostle Paul cried saying

O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

God has made a way out of this dilemma, by setting another higher law, which is Law of Spirit of Life

Romans 8:13 says 

For if ye live after the flesh(old nature) , ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

If we want to live abundant life of God we need to live by the Holy Spirit God by mortifying the deeds of our body.

There are two ways we can live, either we can live by sin nature with in us or we can now live by the Holy Spirit God who lives with in us, that is why we must make an active effort now to live in the Spirit of God, God will give us abundance of His life.

Application:

We must believe in God that God has made a way out for us to live a life in the Holy Spirit God,  we must live a active life of Faith in God by completely trusting God and presenting our bodies unto God as a holy and living sacrifice. (according to Romans 12:1-2)
